In August of 2007, Canyon Ridge opened its doors to 800+ students. During the 2007-08 school year, the PTO worked to provide Smart Board technology to many of our classrooms. Smart Boards are the chalkboard of the 21st century. The PTO was also able to support each grade level with funding for additional educational materials and field trips. In the 2008-2009 school year, the PTO was pleased to be able to contribute to the outdoor classroom as well.
However, we cannot do this without the support of the community.
Exciting changes are occurring in the 2009-10 school year. We have officially joined the National PTA and the Board would like to continue the ongoing mission to raise funds for educational materials that provide our teachers with the resources necessary to support the curriculum of the 21st Century Learners.
During the course of this year, we will be trying to raise funds to support the new book room, provide funding for various educational materials, and grade level support to help teachers with their instructional endeavors.
